PAKISTAN: Home to the largest ambulance network

Note that Pakistan holds a Guinness record for having the largest volunteer ambulance network in the world.

A man named Abdul Sattar Edhi, once used his own car as a public ambulance.

Soon, other people across the country supported him by either donating or converting their own cars to ambulances too.

The volunteer work was so successful, that this Ambulance service even donated 100,000 dollars and other relief materials to victims of Hurricane Katrina in USA.

They also run a lot of major hospitals in Pakistan and they provide free health care to Cancer patients, homeless children, diabetics, etc.
