He would lure young girls into secluded areas kidnap them, then rape and kill them.
He also beheaded 12 of his victims and kept their severed heads in his apartment as trophies.
Bundy would wear a fake sling or use crutches in order to evoke sympathy from the women he eventually attacked.
He was also known for impersonating authority figures such as firefighters and police officers.
He was so charming and carefully covered his tracks that the police refused to believe he was the killer even after he was reported by several people.
Bundy was later captured but he escaped from the police and courthouses several times, and went on to commit three more murders before he was finally captured and executed by electric chair in 1989.
