The Nigerian Police Force, Lagos state division, has arrested an 18 year old girl who stage-managed her own abduction.
The 18 year old lady named Ujunwa Offiah, allegedly collaborated with her boyfriend to fake her own abduction.
It was gathered that Ujunwa’s family was instructed by the “kidnappers” to pay a ransom of 30 Million Naira only.
After much negotiations, the ransom was brought down to 700,000 Naira only.
The money was arranged to be dropped at the agreed location while the police secretly kept watch of the transaction.
An accomplice, who was identified as Precious Chukwu, a friend of the “kidnapped victim”, apparently came to pick up the money and she was arrested.
Both Ujunwa Offiah and Precious Chukwu are in the police net.
Ujunwa’s boyfriend however, is still on the run.
