Some of the Quietest Places in the World .
They say Silence is golden, but do you know that there are some rooms in the United States that are so quiet that after sometime, the silence becomes unbearable and you might begin hallucinating?
1. ANECHOIC CHAMBER AT ORFIELD LABS
One of these places is the anechoic chamber at Orfield Laboratories in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA.
The lab is called an anechoic chamber, meaning there is no echo as the room absorbs 99.99 percent of sound.
A typical quiet bedroom at night measures about 30 decibels; this chamber measures at a record breaking -9.4decibels. (These are in negative decibels).
It is so quiet, that the longest anybody has been able to bear it is 45 minutes.
This chamber was founded by Steven Orfiled.
It is so quiet that you’ll hear your heart beating, sometimes you can hear your lungs, hear your stomach gurgling loudly.
NASA equally sent astronauts to the chamber for them to get adapted to the quietness in space.
It is 99.99% sound absorbent and it achieves this ultra quiteness by the 3.3 foot thick fibre glass acoustic wedge and double walls of insulated steel and foot-thick concrete.
2. MICROSOFT TESTING CHAMBER, WASHINGTON DC:

Hold the beer for the Microsoft lab in Washington.
In 2015, this anechoic chamber on the campus of Microsoft broke the world record with a measurement of −20.6 dBA.
This Microsoft lab currently holds the Guinness world record for the most quiet place in the world.
It is said that when you are inside this room, you could hear the sound your eyes make as they move inside your skull.
You could even hear the sounds made by your joints
Would love to visit Orfield Labs.
