
First Afrobeats Artist to appear in the Guinness World Records.
Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid was born on July 16,1990 in Surulere, Lagos.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
He became the first Afrobeats artist to appear in the Guinness World Records in 2018 for his contribution to “One Dance”, a song he collaborated with Drake (a Canadian rapper) to release.
It was the same song that granted him international recognition and opened the door to other many achievements to him.
In February 2014, he became the first Nigerian musician to have over 1 million followers on Twitter.
Wizkid started recording music at the age of 11 and since then has released a total of four studio albums:
•Superstar (June 12, 2011)
•Ayo (Sept. 17, 2014)
•Sounds from the other side (July 14, 2017)
•Made in Lagos (October 30, 2020).
He has released a total of :

•51 Singles (with 38 as featured artist)

The Nigerian singer is still waxing strong in the music industry and hoping to attain greater heights.
