Are we getting Dumber? Why is the human brain shrinking?
As unbelievably terrifying as it seems it is, the human brain is actually shrinking.
As evolution occurred, the human brain evolved too and became bigger but over 20,000 years ago there has been a reversal as the human brain has decreased from 1,500 cubic centimeters to 1,350 cubic centimeters.
In other words, the brains of Homo sapiens have decreased in size by 10 percent.
Scientists believe that if the human brain continues shrinking at this rate, then it would go back to the size of the brain of our predecessor the Homo eretus which possessed a brain of 1,100cm³.
Does this mean we’re getting dumber?
